We know that what works on paper may not exactly translate to real life, so even if we spend hours pouring your over designs and specs, we still might miss something critical. To correct this, we come out to your facility, walk the floor and inspect the area and machines our solution will apply to. Seeing the operating environment for ourselves allows us to anticipate circumstances that the designs and specs of the machine can’t tell us. 

We keep an extensive inventory of the most commonly used parts for t-slot extruded aluminum framing systems, which helps us get your solution built rapidly. We have a good relationship with our suppliers and can get any additional parts or materials quickly. For simple projects, we can get you a completed solution as quickly as two weeks. Other, more complicated projects may take up to eight weeks. 

At Elect Air, we understand that sometimes circumstances such as workplace accidents or changing OSHA regulations may cause a shutdown of your machine or facility until proper guarding can be installed. Because of this, we do accept and do our best to accommodate emergency requests for machine guarding, which can typically be build and shipped in less than a week, depending on other projects in progress in our facility. 

Depending on the solution, the finished product will arrive in one of two ways: Fully-built or kitted. Smaller solutions will be built in-house and shipped to you as a complete unit ready for use or installation. Larger pieces, however, may have to be provided as a kit for you to assemble on-site.  

Machine safeguarding is a common use of t-slot aluminum. Elect Air most commonly offers a clear material, Plexiglas, polycarbonate or acrylic, or vinyl coated wire mesh, which is more akin to a cage or fence. However, we can accommodate other materials if necessary to the operation. For example, a past project included using a specially-treated colored glass to contain the potentially damaging beam from a laser. 

The nature of the t-slot aluminum framing gives it the ability to bear extreme weight. For example, a customer used an extruded frame to support thick granite slabs weighing up to 3,000-4,000 pounds. Our custom machining capabilities allow us to make anchors for your machine base should you need to secure the frame to the ground. If you need a mobile base, we can accommodate that we can install casters that allow your machine to either sit on the ground or ride on wheels.
